Batteries and rechargeable batteries may not be disposed with household waste. Used batteries may contain harmful substances which may damage the environment or your health if not stored or disposed of correctly. However, batteries also contain valuable raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese and nickel, and can be recycled.
After use, you can either return batteries to your nearst STIHL dealer free of charge. Collection at points of sale is restricted to quantities normal for end users, and applies only to used batteries which are or have been part of the product range on sale there as new batteries.
